Road, Southport. Members of the Chamber and elected officials are
invited to attend to hear presentations about transportation
projects in our area and region by NC Department of Transportation
Board Member Lanny Wilson, Division Engineer Allen Pope, NC Senator
R.C. Soles & N.C. House of Representative Bonner Stiller.
April 26th - Support Staff Luncheon - 11:30am Registration, 12noon -
Lunch. Southport Community Building. $20.00 per person. Details to

May 6th - Southport-Oak Island Golf Classic. 9am Shotgun Start @ Oak
Island Golf Club. Sponsorships & teams are still available. Call

June 14th - Advertising: The Recipe For Success Ad Fair & Seminar.
8:30am-10:30am in Southport Community Building. The Chamber's
Business Development Committee is organizing this opportunity for
members to SAVE MONEY & learn. Attend seminar and get tools on how
to advertising and measure the success of your advertising by
presenters Andru Miller, Andrus Group and Doug Mieden, Fiducial.
Then get discounts on advertising from all types of media. So far,
we have representatives from WECT TV6, BellSouth The Real Yellow
Pages, TimeWarner Cable, Cape Fear Wedding Guide, The State Port
Pilot signed up to offer our members discounts or special member
promotions. Information with a complete list of media partners will
be mailed to you in May.
June 17th - N.C. 4th of July Festival Patriot Cruise. Fun Fundraiser
for festival. 6:30pm Board @ Southport Marina. $150.00 per couple,
$75 per person.
June 21st - Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce Annual
Meeting. 5:30pm-social, 6:00pm -dinner & meeting, 7:30pm-Humorist &
Author Celia Rivenbark. Reservations Required. Fee Charged.
Invitations will be mailed in June.
July 1st- 4th - N.C. 4th of July Festival - check out the complete
calendar at
www.nc4thofjuly.com. Get your children tuned up and ready to
compete in the Oscar Mayer Sing The Jingle Be A Star. Sing the
bologna, hot dog or Spanish jingle.
