Silver Coast Winery's Touriga Wins Three Gold Medals

December 7, 2010 – Silver Coast Winery’s 2007 Touriga is following in the footsteps of its’ preceding vintages. Within mere weeks of releasing this year’s vintage, it has already garnered an auspicious three Gold Medals. Winemaker, Dana Keeler, says, “The Touriga grape consistently proves its place in Southeast vineyards by producing award-winning wines for Silver Coast. Of all the medals our wines have won, it is our biggest Double Gold and Gold medal winner to date. The 2007 vintage just continues to affirm my high expectations of this unusual varietal.”

The competitions that Silver Coast entered which resulted in these high honors were: the 6th Annual Denver International Wine Competition, Tasters Guild Consumer International Competition and the Mid-Atlantic Southeast Competition.

Silver Coast Winery has won more than 250 International awards for their variety of wine styles since opening eight years ago. Wines produced at the winery range from Seyval Blanc to Cabernet Franc are available for sampling as well as purchasing. Guests can peruse the art galleries, gift shops and special event facilities.
