February 21, 2011 - Southport, NC - The public is invited and encouraged to attend the 1st Annual Coastal Consumer Showcase –“Highlighting the Best in Local Products and Services” on Tuesday, March 8th from 4pm-8pm at the St. James Community Center on Highway 211. Over 50 local businesses will be selling, sampling and displaying their products and services, encouraging residents to “spend their sand dollars locally”. Admission is Free. Every attendee is eligible to register for one free ticket and purchase additional tickets in the Chinese auction, which has almost 50 prizes.

Types of businesses participating include accountants, airplane & airport services and rentals, appraisal services, attorneys, bakeries, building & home Improvement materials, outdoor living, car rentals, chiropractors, Disc Jockeys, financial institutions and planning, fitness and athletic programs, gifts and gift shops, home furnishings & furniture, home improvements including floor coverings, painters, shutters & blinds, solar systems, outdoor lighting, hospital and medical services, human resources and foundations, insurance, moving companies, optometrists, party suppliers and rentals, pet fencing, pest control, phone services, photography, real estate, restaurants, retirement communities and assisted living, transportation services and wineries.
