The N.C. 4th of July Festival Chowder Cook-Off was held at the Oak Island Moose Lodge with close to 200 people in attendance to taste 12 chowders.

The results are as follows:

Restaurant Division

1st Place – New England Clam Chowder by Duffer’s Pub & Grille at the Oak Island Golf & Country Club

2nd Place – Annie’s Clam Soup by Turtle Island Restaurant & Catering

3rd Place – Pelican Clam Chowder by Pelican Seafood

Individual Division

1st Place – Pacula Builders Best Constructed Chowder by Tucker Pacula, Pacula Builders

2nd Place – Willis Sisters Clam Chowder by Angela Willis George & Deborah Willis

3rd Place – Chowder by Aubrey Godber
