ServSafe Class
Attention Food Service Industry:
ServSafe Class @ Chamber
November 29, 2012
- Southport, NC – After learning there were new
regulations being implemented on our food service
industry, we contacted the North Carolina Cooperative
Extension and Environmental Health of Brunswick County
about holding a ServSafe Class here locally so that it
would be more convenient for our members and they were
extremely responsive to the idea. Now, we hope our food
industry will respond and attend.
Mark your calendars now for the next ServSafe Foody
Safety Class offered in three sessions on January 28th,
February 4th and February 11th at the new
Southport-Oak Island
Area Chamber of Commerce Conference Room,
4433 Long Beach Road, Southport. The classroom sessions
will start at 12:30 pm and end at 4:30 pm.
Students who successfully complete the class and the
exam receive a certificate from the National Restaurant
Association Education Foundation often seen prominently
displayed in restaurants.
Taught by North Carolina Cooperative Extension and
Environmental Health of Brunswick County, the ServSafe
certification is valuable to anyone who works in the
food service industry.
A registration fee is required to cover the cost of the
textbook, exam and classroom instruction. While this
course will be taught in English, the textbook and exam
are available in several other languages. If you prefer
the materials in another language, that request must be
made prior to the start of the class.
Class size is limited and usually fills up quickly, so
call Ms. Barnwell at 910-253-2610 to get more
information.
