Barbara
Ruth Bruenderman, age 80, of Southport died Tuesday,
July 10, 2012 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in
Wilmington.
Mrs. Bruenderman
was born in Crothersville, Indiana, daughter of the late
Charles and Blanche Tadlock Meeks. She lived in
Louisville, Kentucky prior to moving to Southport where
she enjoyed playing the dulcimer. She was a member of
the Dulcimer Association of Louisville. Mrs. Bruenderman
was preceded in death by her first husband Gerald
Turner, her second husband William Bruenderman, and her
daughter Janet Gayle Sivori.
Survivors include her daughter Regina McNiel and husband
Sherwood of Oak Island; granddaughters Christine Gray
and husband Kenneth of Columbia, South Carolina and
Shelby Jo McNiel of Greensboro, North Carolina; and
great granddaughter Savannah Nicole Gray.
A memorial service will be at 3:00 pm Friday, July 13,
2012 at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral Service Chapel in
Southport.
The family will receive friends one hour prior from 2:00
to 3:00 at the funeral home and after the service at the
home of her daughter.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity
of one’s choice.
