Mr. Robert Thomas
Flynn age 73 of Southport died Tuesday May 22, 2012 at
his home.
Mr. Flynn was born
in Queens, New York on September 14, 1938 and was the
son of the late John and Mar Agnes McManus Flynn. He
retired from IBM in Raleigh as a Sales Executive. He
moved to the Southport and Bald Head Island Community in
1993. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy
M. Flynn.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Flynn; two children,
Robert Flynn Jr. of Gastonia and Diane Roberts of
Southport; a granddaughter, Ashley Renee Roberts of
Asheboro; a brother, John J. “Jack” Flynn of Amelia
Island, Florida.
A memorial service will be held Friday May 25, 2012 at
2pm at the chapel of Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral
Service, Southport with Reverend David Williams
officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made
to Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, c/o
Brunswick County facility, 1414 Physicians Dr.,
Wilmington, NC 28401.
