More Awards For
Silver Coast Winery
Press
Release
August 16, 2005 - Ocean Isle
Beach, North Carolina (NC)
- Silver Coast Winery is happy to pin a few new medals to our award
winning wines. The newest member of the Silver Coast family, the
2004 bottling of Viognier, received a bronze medal from the Texas
Wine & Grape Growers Association. The 2005 Lone Star International
Wine Competition also awarded a bronze medal for the 2002 Premium
Oak Chardonnay bottling. It seems the folks in the Lone Star state
continue to be impressed with this wine, having awarded the same
chardonnay a gold medal as well as a Grand Star Gold award in the
2004 competition. This competition played host to wineries from
Spain, Italy, California, New York, Texas, of course North Carolina,
and a handful of other wine producing regions.
Middle America also seems to
be catching the North Carolina wine fever. Silver Coast Winery
posted three medals at the 2005 Indiana State Fair International
Competition. The recently released 2002 Georgia Merlot and 2004
White Merlot both received bronze medals, and the 2004 Viognier
impressed the folks in Indiana so much they awarded this new
treasure a silver medal. As the new wines get released by the winery
they are certain to receive high praise from judges in future
competitions.
