Chamber of Commerce members enjoyed an evening of Business
Networking After Hours hosted by
Art @ 211/Ricky Evans Gallery in Southport.
Art @ 211/Ricky Evans Gallery
is one of three
galleries in Southport that host the monthly Gallery Walk on the
first Friday of each month (except July). Ricky Evans is a
self-taught artist whose name has become synonymous with
lighthouses along the eastern U.S. coastline. It was Ricky's
love of history and the sea, accompanied by a deep appreciation of
architectural design, that led him to produce his initial
lighthouses of North Carolina series. Soon, South Carolina, Georgia
and Virginia lighthouses were added to the collection, along with a
new waterfront series. The Gallery which features Ricky’s work and
works of other area artists is located at 211 N. Howe Street.
