3, 2012 - Leland, NC - Chad Barefoot has joined
Pioneer Strategies, Inc. as director of business
development, firm president and founder Frank
Williams announced today. Pioneer Strategies, a
Brunswick County-based public relations agency that
serves clients throughout North Carolina, celebrated
ten years in business in August 2011. Barefoot will
be based in Raleigh and will serve clients in the
Triangle region.
"Chad Barefoot's
experience and strategic insight will strengthen our
ability to serve our expanding client base," says
Williams. "I am excited to have him on our team."
Prior to
joining Pioneer Strategies, Barefoot served on the
legislative staff of N.C. House Majority Leader Paul
Stam, where he handled research and communications
for the office. He is a former E.A. Morris Fellow
for Emerging Leaders in North Carolina. In 2011, he
was appointed to the Wake County Energy Advisory
Commission by the Wake County Board of
Commissioners. Barefoot earned a Bachelor’s degree
in Political Science with a concentration in Public
Management from Appalachian State University and a
Master of Arts in Christian Ethics from Southeastern
Baptist Theological Seminary. Each year he serves as
a volunteer fundraiser for the Baptist Children's
Home of North Carolina, located in his hometown of
Thomasville, by speaking to churches throughout the
Triangle area about their annual Thanksgiving
offering for children and families in need. Barefoot
and his wife, Paige Fitzgerald Barefoot, live in
Raleigh and attend Capital Community Church.
