Southport Times Postcard Featured In Star News

July 25, 2012 - Southport, NC - A postcard from The Southport Times’ Postcard collection was featured in the Wilmington Star News yesterday in a column entitled "Back Then" by columnist Scott Nunn.

Yesterday's column offered several historical accounts of the Wilmington, Brunswick & Southern Railroad (WB&S) that once ran between Wilmington and Southport. The Southport Times' postcard depicting a train leaving the WB&S Station in Southport was featured in this column.

As previously announced in April, The Southport Times' postcard collection will be published in print format in a book entitled "Postcard History Series: Southport, Oak Island and Bald Head Island" by Arcadia Press in South Carolina.
