Greenwood Pet Camp's Holiday
Donations Benefit The Humane Society of The United States

- Bolivia, NC - The Humane Society of the United States
and Canines for Service were recipients of holiday
donations from the dogs and cats who boarded at
Greenwood Pet Camp during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Lots of Pet Camp boarders enjoyed special holiday
dinners of turkey, rice, green beans and rolls in return
for a donation to these charities.
$250 was donated
to The HSUS to support disaster relief work for the
animals impacted by Hurricane Sandy in New York and New
Jersey. The HSUS rescued more than 250 animals from
devastated commumnities, cared for more than 450 pets in
their emergency shelters, and worked to reunite pets
with their owners.
Canines for
Service, based locally in Wilmington, NC, received $300
to support its work in training assistance dogs for
disabled persons, especially military veterans. Please

for details of their ongoing projects.
Each Thanksgiving and Christmas for over 15 years
Greenwood Pet Camp, located on Hwy 211 at Midway between
Southport & Supply, has served a special holiday dinner
for its boarding dogs and cats to benefit various
national and local charities.
