St. Philip's Episcopal Church To Hold Annual Worship Service At Brunswick Town Historic Site

April 29, 2013 - Southport, NC - St. Philip's Episcopal Church of Southport holds its annual worship service and picnic at the Brunswick Town Historic Site on Sunday, May 5th at 10:30.

This Revolutionary War site is the ruins of the original St. Philip's Anglican Church, then burned by the British in 1768. It also served as a shelter for the wounded in the Battle of Fort Anderson in 1865.

Visitors welcome. Dress casually and bring a lawn chair. Call the church office at 457-5643 for more information.
