The Robert Ruark Inn Earns Coveted Award From TripAdvisor

June 6, 2013 - Southport, NC - The Robert Ruark Inn was recently presented with a 2013 Certificate of Excellence Award from TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site.

According to TripAdvisor, the certificate program honors hospitality excellence and is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor’s website. The award is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide. Approximately 10 percent of accommodations listed on TripAdvisor receive the award. To qualify for the Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travelers on TripAdvisor.

The Robert Ruark Inn is a historic, luxury inn in the coastal town of Southport, North Carolina. Nestled in the town’s historic district and steps away from where the Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterway & Cape Fear River meet, the property was built in 1890 and fully restored in 2008. This is its fifth year operating as a Bed & Breakfast. The Inn was purchased in early 2012 by Rick & Linda Pukenas.
