Creating A Sustainable Backyard Habitat

Class begins Monday, July 29, 2013
How would you like to transform your back yard into a
beautiful, breath-taking and ecologically friendly
habitat? Brunswick Community College, located in Supply,
NC is thrilled to announce a new and innovative
continuing education course for the summer session.
In this course you will learn how to - attract birds,
butterflies and other beneficial wild life, install
native plants and grasses, which require less
maintenance (= less time and $$) how to get rid of
invasive plants, which cost you $$ and many other
valuable skills. This is not the typical classroom
course. Each week we will travel to one of the
participants’ yards for a site assessment and work in
and out of the classroom, as well as, host guest
speakers to help create a sustainable backyard habitat
for you.
“This class is an incredibly new and exciting addition
to our summer offerings”, according to the Director of
BETC.
Classes will meet on Mondays and Friday from 9 am until
1 pm beginning Monday, July 29, 2013. Deadline to
