Mrs. Douglas Diane
“Dougie” Deitz , age 70, of Southport died Wednesday
August 22, 2012 at Ocean Trail Nursing Center.
Mrs. Deitz was born in New Hanover County on August 7,
1942 and was the daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy
Jones Bogie. She was wife of the late Reverend William
F. Deitz Sr. She retired from the Brunswick County Board
of Education after 33 years of service. She was a member
of Southport Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, William F. Deitz Jr. of the
home; two grandchildren, Lyndsey Marie Deitz and William
Samuel Deitz.
Funeral services will be Saturday August 25, 2012 at
11:00 AM in the chapel of Southport Baptist Church with
Reverend Jason Bland, Reverend John Bible and Reverend
Hoyt King officiating. Burial will follow in Northwood
Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8
at the funeral home.
