Patricia Ann
“Patty” Starnes, age 52, of Oak Island died Tuesday,
July 3, 2012 at her home.
Patty was born August 23, 1959 in New Jersey, daughter
of the late John and Dorothy Grimm Sr. She loved to
fish, and work in the garden. Patty was very
hard-working, a first class cook, and was a loving
mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband Ray Starnes of Oak Island;
one son Derek Craney of Wilmington; one daughter Shannon
Wright and husband Christopher of Wilmington; one
brother John Grimm, Jr. and wife Jennifer of New Jersey;
one sister JoAnne Thompson and husband Garth of New
Jersey; one granddaughter Alexis Wright; several nephews
and nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday,
July 6, 2012 in the Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral
Service Chapel with Reverend Jeff Saugus officiating.
