Mary
Elizabeth Johnson, age 83, of Southport died Monday,
March 18, 2013 at her home.
Miss Johnson was
born September 1, 1929 in Brunswick County, daughter of
the late James Wesley Johnson and Lizzie Hewett Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her sister Fannie Johnson.
Survivors include
her brother John Henry Johnson of Southport and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday, March 22,
2013 at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral Service Chapel in
Southport with Reverend David Kelly officiating. Burial
will follow in Northwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm
Thursday at the funeral home.
